Bio
I am Hamat Cham, an Agricultural Science teacher and community-focused youth advocate from The Gambia. I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Education, which has strengthened my commitment to teaching, leadership, and community development. Through my work in education and agriculture, I strive to create opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and build a better future.
I was drawn to the SELA Fellowship because it focuses on sustainable education, leadership development, and empowering emerging African leaders. I see the Introductory Pathway as an opportunity to strengthen my leadership capacity, learn from other young leaders across Africa, exchange ideas, and develop practical solutions to the challenges in my community and country. I am eager to contribute my experiences while learning from others and building meaningful networks that support sustainable development in Africa.
