My name is Namugenyi Doreen Mugalu, and I am from Uganda. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Makerere University, where I work on tech-embedded projects that challenge me to grow. I am driven by a constant urge to better myself, and outside academics, I enjoy travelling, shopping, reading books, articles and magazines, and engaging in voluntary work within my community.

I came across SELA through an online advert, and the Introductory Pathway immediately stood out to me. I was drawn by the opportunity to sharpen my leadership skills and by my love for adventure, wanting to be part of something bigger than myself. Beyond skill-building, I am excited to make meaningful connections and grow into a stronger leadership voice as I continue shaping my path forward.
