Mallo Paul Lokiru

Bio

I’m an evidence-driven development practitioner from Uganda, with experience in monitoring and evaluation, project management, data use for decision-making, and health systems strengthening. My niche is supporting institutions, organisations, and communities to transform reliable data into practical, context-specific solutions that improve health outcomes, strengthen resilience, and advance sustainable development.

My work spans health systems, data quality, digital health, food security, community resilience, and the emerging links between climate, environment, and health. I am especially motivated by working with local actors to identify priority challenges, design responsive interventions, and sustain measurable change.

The SELA Fellowship appeals to me because it equips African leaders to translate knowledge into action and lasting impact. Through the Introductory Pathway, I hope to strengthen my leadership capacity, deepen my systems thinking, and learn alongside leaders addressing complex development challenges. I look forward to sharing my experience, contributing to practical solutions, and advancing healthier, more resilient communities.
