My name is Menkem Zekarias, a young Ethiopian professional passionate about technology, leadership, and creating meaningful opportunities for young people across Africa. I hold degrees in Management and Construction Technology Management, and I am currently developing my skills in full-stack software development. My journey has taught me the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and using knowledge to create practical solutions.

I was drawn to the SELA Fellowship because of its focus on sustainable education, leadership development, and empowering young Africans to become positive contributors to their communities. The Introductory Pathway particularly interests me because I see it as an opportunity to strengthen my leadership abilities, learn from other emerging African leaders, expand my perspective beyond my own country, and develop the skills and connections needed to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s future.
