Building Emerging African Sustainability Leaders

SELA Fellowship will bring together young leaders from across Africa to learn, network, collaborate, and drive sustainable change. The fellowship also supports fellows in carrying out outreach projects in their communities. We are committed to ensuring diversity and inclusion within the SELA Fellowship.

What is SELA Fellowship

The Sustainable Education and Leadership for Africa  (SELA) Fellowship is a program under the African Youth Mentorship Project, aimed at building emerging African sustainability leaders who are passionate about leading various grassroots initiatives in their local communities. The fellowship equips them with the skills they need to start addressing the challenges faced by Africans. The fellowship also supports fellows in carrying out outreach projects in their communities.

The fellowship equips them with the skills they need to start or continue to build their own social enterprises and non-governmental organizations that are addressing the challenges faced by Africans.

SELA Fellowship will bring together young leaders across Africa to learn, network, collaborate, and drive sustainable change. Fellows will:

  • Engage in a comprehensive curriculum that will enhance their leadership skills and knowledge in sustainability.
  • Receive mentorship and guidance from experts in sustainable development.
  • Implement, start and be empowered to continue their impact project to form a social enterprise or NGO
  • Gain practical skills in project management and leadership.
  • Join a vibrant network of changemakers committed to sustainability.
