Building Emerging African Sustainability Leaders
SELA Fellowship will bring together young leaders from across Africa to learn, network, collaborate, and drive sustainable change. The fellowship also supports fellows in carrying out outreach projects in their communities. We are committed to ensuring diversity and inclusion within the SELA Fellowship.
What is SELA Fellowship
The Sustainable Education and Leadership for Africa (SELA) Fellowship is a program under the African Youth Mentorship Project, aimed at building emerging African sustainability leaders who are passionate about leading various grassroots initiatives aimed at solving problems in their grassroot communities. The fellowship equips them with the skills they need to start addressing the challenges faced by Africans. The fellowship also supports fellows in carrying out outreach projects in their communities.
The fellowship equips them with the skills they need to start or continue to build their own social enterprises and non-governmental organizations that are addressing the challenges faced by Africans.
SELA Fellowship brings together young leaders across Africa aged 18-35 years to learn, build, network, collaborate, and drive sustainable change in their grassroot communities. Fellows will:
Engage In
a 3 months comprehensive
curriculum that will enhance
their leadership skills and
knowledge in sustainability,
helping them scale their social
impact initiative from idea to implementation
Receive
mentorship and guidance from global experts in sustainable development
Implement
launch the pilot phase of
their social impact idea through
hands on support and close
guidance and be empowered
to scale their existing work into
more sustainable initiatives
Gain
practical skills needed to
effectively manage a social
impact project/ organization for
beginners and mid level
changemakers
Join
a vibrant alumni network of 80+ sustainability leaders across
Africa upon graduation from fellowship
Collaborate
with other changemakers across Africa and gain insights into implementing sustainable initiatives
Earn
a certificate upon successful completion of the fellowship and access to oppotunities.
